Welcome
to A Step to Independence!

A
Step to Independence was founded in 2004, for the
purpose of providing Conductive Education to children with
motor disabilities. Although A Step to Independence
primarily seeks to serve children in the southeastern United
States, we have accepted children from Florida to
Canada. As we continue to expand our program, our goal is to
provide hope to every family who desires a more
comprehensive and aggressive approach to living
independently with Cerebral Palsy, Spina Bifida,
Developmental Delays or other motor-related disorders.
Formed as a
501(c)3 organization, A Step to Independence operates
in a 7000 square foot building, custom-designed for our
purposes. Located in the quaint city of Dacula, A
Step to Independence serves families from the beautiful
rolling hills of Northeast Georgia and is approximately 35
minutes north of Atlanta.
We welcome your
visit and encourage you to explore our site. From the links
on the left, you can learn more about Conductive Education,
cerebral palsy, our program, our students, and why all of us
here at A Step to Independence believe that children
with motor disabilities can achieve far more than they are
often given credit for.
